Ciao Churu cat food: ingredient review
Record review date: 12 September 2026. Check the current pack and linked evidence. Tell us if this is out of date.
The two Churu recipes reviewed here are treats, not complete meals. Manufacturer ingredient and feeding pages are now linked in the product notes, with their US market scope made clear. Check the exact local pack. The earlier unresolved speculation about a recall was not evidence that these products were recalled. Across the 3 Ciao Churu products we have reviewed, these notes cover 3 Ciao Churu products. Check the exact recipe, current ingredients and complete or complementary designation; ingredient ratings alone cannot establish a suitable daily diet.
What we found
There are 3 product records here; 3 have a sourced feeding role. Read the source scope and market before applying it to the pack you have. An unconfirmed role is a gap in our evidence, not proof that a food is unsuitable.
Ingredient order, grain-free wording and price do not by themselves establish nutritional quality. Check completeness, life stage, formulation expertise and quality controls. WSAVA explains the questions to ask.
Ciao Churu product by product
| Product | Category | Feeding role | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ciao Churu Tuna & Chicken Variety | treats | Treat | Cat treat multipack with several recipes; the old single ingredient list did not describe the whole jar. |
| Inaba Churu Hairball Control Tuna Recipe | treats | Treat | A tuna treat with added fibre; it is not a meal or a diagnosis for vomiting. |
| Inaba Churu Purees Chicken Recipe | treats | Treat | Lickable chicken treat, not a complete meal. |

Ciao Churu Tuna & Chicken Variety We've seen this product sold in Singapore but couldn't verify the full ingredient panel from the brand's own source. Missing information is not proof of poor quality or of a suitable serving. Check the current pack before choosing it. If you have a photo of the ingredient panel, we'd love it:meow@urbancatowner.com.
Use alongside an appropriate complete diet. This product should not replace the main diet.
INABA · Europe · Checked 12 September 2026
Churu Multipack Tuna and Chicken Varieties, 50 x 14g cat treats. Not a single combined recipe or the separate Meal Topper range.
The European manufacturer identifies this as a 50-tube cat-treat multipack and lists its individual flavours separately. Some contain fish or scallop extract in addition to chicken or tuna, so read the specific tube as well as the outer pack. The old dog-safety summary contradicted the unresolved research notes and has been removed. An unverified historical recall allegation is not retained as a product fact. This source does not establish the exact Singapore-imported pack.

INABA · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Churu Hairball Control Tuna Recipe, 4-tube pack. Local pack match required.
The US manufacturer listing identifies this as a treat rather than a meal and includes powdered cellulose as added fibre. Hairball-control positioning does not establish that it will solve an individual cat's symptoms. Count treats within the feeding plan, keep fresh water available and check the local recipe. Repeated vomiting or difficulty eating needs veterinary advice rather than repeated attempts with a treat.

Chicken Recipe Churu 4-tube pack. Compare with the local pack; this source does not establish Singapore availability.
INABA says to feed this recipe as a treat, not a meal. Its US listing includes water, chicken, starch, flavourings and added nutrients. It can be offered by hand or as a small topper for variety, while the main diet supplies complete nutrition. Check the exact local pack and feeding instructions; a short ingredient list is not a quality ranking or a reason to offer unlimited tubes.

UrbanCatOwner Editorial checked every product here against a Ciao Churu ingredient list or product description from the brand or a Singapore retailer. Recipes can change, so let this guide help you narrow the question, then read the packet in your hand before sharing anything with your cat.
