Hill's Science Diet (Cat) cat food: ingredient review
Record review date: 12 September 2026. Check the current pack and linked evidence. Tell us if this is out of date.
These entries distinguish the exact sourced recipe from similarly named counterparts. Manufacturer statements about feeding tests using AAFCO procedures are not AAFCO certification or a blanket veterinary endorsement. Singapore and US formulations are identified separately. Retail Science Diet and therapeutic Prescription Diet products should not be treated as interchangeable; match the actual pack and individual feeding needs. Across the 4 Hill's Science Diet (Cat) products we have reviewed, these notes cover 4 Hill's Science Diet (Cat) products. Check the exact recipe, current ingredients and complete or complementary designation; ingredient ratings alone cannot establish a suitable daily diet.
What we found
There are 4 product records here; 2 have a sourced feeding role. Read the source scope and market before applying it to the pack you have. An unconfirmed role is a gap in our evidence, not proof that a food is unsuitable.
Ingredient order, grain-free wording and price do not by themselves establish nutritional quality. Check completeness, life stage, formulation expertise and quality controls. WSAVA explains the questions to ask.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition · Singapore · Checked 12 September 2026
Adult Indoor Chicken dry recipe for indoor cats aged 1–6 according to the local manufacturer.
The Singapore page identifies Adult Indoor Chicken as complete adult-maintenance food, supported by feeding tests using AAFCO procedures. The manufacturer positions it for indoor cats aged one to six, not kittens or pregnant or nursing cats. The source supports its feeding role, but living in a Singapore flat does not by itself establish that this diet or its suggested amount suits an individual cat. The earlier blanket suitability claim has been removed.
Hill's Science Diet Adult Optimal Care Chicken We've seen this product sold in Singapore but couldn't verify the full ingredient panel from the brand's own source. Missing information is not proof of poor quality or of a suitable serving. Check the current pack before choosing it. If you have a photo of the ingredient panel, we'd love it:meow@urbancatowner.com.

Current Adult Chicken counterpart. The stored Optimal Care name has not been matched to a current local pack.
The current US Adult Chicken page states complete adult nutrition supported by feeding tests using AAFCO procedures. This is not an AAFCO certification, and the older Optimal Care name in this record has not been matched to a current Singapore pack. The linked recipe should therefore be treated as a counterpart, not an exact ingredient guarantee. The earlier quality ranking based on corn protein and blanket vet endorsement have been removed.
Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach & Skin Salmon We've seen this product sold in Singapore but couldn't verify the full ingredient panel from the brand's own source. Missing information is not proof of poor quality or of a suitable serving. Check the current pack before choosing it. If you have a photo of the ingredient panel, we'd love it:meow@urbancatowner.com.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Related Salmon & Yellow Pea grain-free dry recipe. The abbreviated Salmon record does not establish this exact formulation.
The US manufacturer lists a complete adult Salmon & Yellow Pea grain-free dry food, but this abbreviated product record does not confirm that exact formula or its availability in Singapore. The linked ingredient panel includes chicken, chicken meal and chicken fat alongside salmon. It is not a chicken-free diet. Sensitive-stomach positioning does not establish suitability for a diagnosed food allergy, and the old no-concerning-additives guarantee was unsupported.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Kitten Chicken Recipe dry food; US formulation, separate from No Corn Wheat Soy and Sensitive variants.
The US Kitten Chicken Recipe page states complete nutrition for growth and for gestating or lactating adult female cats, supported by feeding tests using AAFCO procedures. That describes the manufacturer’s adequacy evidence; it is not certification by AAFCO or proof this is one of only a few suitable kitten foods. Match the local pack to the sourced US recipe, especially where similarly named variants are sold.
