Weruva cat food: ingredient review
Record review date: 12 September 2026. Check the current pack and linked evidence. Tell us if this is out of date.
The four canned recipes reviewed here have manufacturer complete-food statements for adult cats in the US market. They differ in animal ingredients and texture, so compare the specific product and imported pack. These findings are not a brand-wide quality ranking, nor do they establish that every Weruva range has the same feeding role. Across the 5 Weruva products we have reviewed, these notes cover 5 Weruva products. Check the exact recipe, current ingredients and complete or complementary designation; ingredient ratings alone cannot establish a suitable daily diet.
What we found
There are 5 product records here; 5 have a sourced feeding role. Read the source scope and market before applying it to the pack you have. An unconfirmed role is a gap in our evidence, not proof that a food is unsuitable.
Ingredient order, grain-free wording and price do not by themselves establish nutritional quality. Check completeness, life stage, formulation expertise and quality controls. WSAVA explains the questions to ask.

Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Funk in the Trunk (Chicken Breast & Pumpkin Au Jus) Read feeding notes
A manufacturer completeness statement is a starting point. Match the species and life stage, and check suitability for your own cat.
Weruva · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Funk in the Trunk canned adult cat recipe. Singapore availability and exact imported pack must be checked.
The chicken-and-pumpkin name does not describe every animal ingredient: the US panel also includes tuna and fish oil. This matters for cats avoiding fish. The manufacturer lists the recipe as complete adult food. Pumpkin content is not evidence that this is a treatment for constipation or diarrhoea. Compare the current imported pack before relying on its composition.
Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Kitty Gone Wild Check suitability
A manufacturer completeness statement is a starting point. Match the species and life stage, and check suitability for your own cat.
Weruva · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Kitty Gone Wild Wild Salmon Recipe Au Jus can. Manufacturer product features state complete and balanced; check pack for its life-stage statement.
The manufacturer’s Kitty Gone Wild page identifies complete-and-balanced food and a seafood recipe. The source applies to this can, not every Weruva product or a guarantee about Singapore stock. The previous warning was based on a separate BFF line and should not have appeared as an ingredient warning for Kitty Gone Wild. That does not erase another product’s history; it keeps this recipe’s assessment specific to evidence about this product.
Weruva Classic Amazon Livin' Read feeding notes
A manufacturer completeness statement is a starting point. Match the species and life stage, and check suitability for your own cat.
Weruva · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Amazon Livin' canned adult cat recipe. Singapore availability and exact imported pack must be checked.
The US recipe includes chicken breast and chicken liver with added vitamins and minerals, and is listed as complete for adult cats. Liver within a formulated food is different from adding unrestricted liver to meals. Check the exact pack and life stage rather than treating visible meat or a grain-free claim as a quality guarantee.
Weruva Classic Cat Mack & Jack with Mackerel & Skipjack Read feeding notes
A manufacturer completeness statement is a starting point. Match the species and life stage, and check suitability for your own cat.
Weruva · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Mack & Jack canned adult cat recipe. Singapore availability and exact imported pack must be checked.
The US panel names tuna, mackerel and skipjack, along with added nutrients. Skipjack is a type of tuna, so the old claim of three distinct named fish species was imprecise. The page identifies this as complete adult food. That is different from feeding plain tuna; an automatic rotation rule was not established by the product evidence. Match the local pack and individual dietary needs.
Weruva Classic Cat Paw Lickin' Chicken in Gravy Read feeding notes
A manufacturer completeness statement is a starting point. Match the species and life stage, and check suitability for your own cat.
Weruva · United States · Checked 12 September 2026
Paw Lickin' Chicken canned adult cat recipe. Singapore availability and exact imported pack must be checked.
The current US product lists chicken breast, broth, starch and added nutrients. Its adult complete-food designation distinguishes it from plain chicken or a complementary chicken topper. Check the exact imported pack, especially if managing a food allergy; the manufacturer fish-free claim is not a diagnosis or an individual prescription.

UrbanCatOwner Editorial checked every product here against a Weruva ingredient list or product description from the brand or a Singapore retailer. Recipes can change, so let this guide help you narrow the question, then read the packet in your hand before sharing anything with your cat.
