NParks names this park on its pet-friendly park list, read with its dog etiquette guidance. Dogs must remain controlled and leashed outside a designated dog run. Cat-specific entry conditions and access to individual attractions are not established by the reviewed sources. The Area C1 dog run is scheduled to close from 21 September to 6 November 2026. Nearby lawn and footpath works also affect access. NParks warns of jellyfish and areas affected by tides or bad weather; access to the beach is not a safe-swimming guarantee. Check the official map and notices for the area you intend to use.

Ask the team about your plans before you book or travel, especially if your cat needs a particular space or arrangement.

NParks describes 180 hectares of parkland along more than 13km of coast. Choose a short section of the shared paths rather than assuming you need to walk the whole park. Dogs can use permitted park areas on a lead, with off-leash activity confined to the designated dog run at Area C1, Parkland Green. The official park is listed as pet-friendly, but UCO has not established cat-specific conditions for its individual facilities or attractions. Ask NParks before planning a cat visit and assess whether the route, other animals and outdoor conditions suit your cat.
