Henderson Waves is an outdoor pedestrian bridge, not an enclosed cat exercise area. NParks’ Southern Ridges guidance includes leashed pets, but that does not make a long hill walk appropriate for every cat. A secure carrier and a short, familiar outing may be more manageable than committing to the whole ridge route. The bridge is 274 metres long; approach paths can add slopes and steps. Keep your cat contained and give other walkers room. Do not infer restaurant admission or access to Labrador Nature Reserve from permission on the walking route. Check current access notices and have a straightforward way to leave if your cat is uncomfortable.
